1.4 Solubility: Insoluble in water, but dissolved in anhydrous alcohol and n-heptane.

1.5 Stability and reactivity: Stable at normal temperature and pressure, but reacts with moisture, strong oxidant and strong ultraviolet light.

3. Application: Triphenyl bismuth (TPB) has been used as the curing catalyst of high burn rate HTPB propellant. TPB could reduce curing temperature and curing time, with no side-effect on the processing and mechanic properties of the propellant. The suggested dosage of TPB is 0.006wt%-0.05wt% of the propellant. The curing time is about a week at 50℃. . TPB can also be used as the catalyst of the polymerization from ethyne into cyclooctatetraene, polymerization of formaldehyde other monomers etc. It also can be applied to the curing agent of polycyclochlorides.

4. Safety instructions: Toxic by ingestion and inhalation. Eye and skin contact can cause inflammation. Be handled with rubber gloves, a respirator, goggle, and protective clothing.

5. Packing: Sealed in a cylinder hard plastic box. Net weight: 500g or 1000g per box. Packing can be adjusted according to the clients’ requests.

6. Storage: Stored in a cool and ventilated place. The shelf life is 12 months after manufactured date. It is still available if the retest results of the properties are qualified after expired date. After the storage period expires, the samples should be re-sampled and re-inspected according to the technical specifications in Part 2, and they can still be used after passing the test.

7. Transportation: Should prevent rain drenched, sun exposure and ultraviolet -baked during transportation. Keep away from strong oxidants.
