PVB resin prevents vulcanization of thermoplastic powder coatings
Q: To prevent vulcanization of thermoplastic powder coatings, what type of PVB should be used and the amount of PVB added?
A: Usually PVB is used for leveling in powder coatings. The addition amount is about 0.5%. For example, PVB (model 40 seconds) products can be added to prevent sagging, and PVB (model 5-8 seconds) products can be added for thermosetting powder coatings. PVB (model 80-120 seconds) product for thermoplastic anticorrosion.
